This news has made it known AVUUK through a media communiqué.
Taking into account the Treaty for the Function of the European Union, Council directive 2002/99/ The EC of December 16, 2002, which defines animal health regulations regulating production, processing, distribution and presentation of products of animal origin for human consumption import remittances to the EU based on decision 2007/777/ The EC, the European Commission defines the list of third countries, of which goods are allowed to enter the EU. Kosovo for the first time wins that right.
The Food and Veterinary SAgenia after a long and not easy work for meeting EU regulations' control criteria, and as the guarantor authority for the safety of food products produced in Kosovo, the iúu has been subjected to the Commission's audit by EU-sent experts to assess the agency's control systems exercised on products of bird meat destined for export to the EU. The AUV after the assessment receives positive results that as state authority has met all conditions to ensure the safety of products produced in Kosovo for factories that apply for EU export.
This is the best argument for the levels of control exercised by the Food and Veterinary Agency and for the advanced infrastructure standards that Kosovo producers have created. This decision is encouraging to all food producers targeting the EU market. European Commission, respectively, Directorate for Health and Food Insurance DG SANTE, from now on, officially considers the Kosovo Republic's Food and Veterinary Agency a partner.
