Kosovo's top diplomat, Melza Haradinaj- Stublla, has made a verbal note towards the European Commission for European Policy and Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations.
Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhei received President Aleksandar Vuqic at the meeting in Brussels where he held a book called “Kosovo's Metohija”, which Serbs consistently referred to Kosovo and caused Haradinaj-Subla to protest about it.
Klan Kosova has exclusively secured the verbal note where Haradinaj- Stublla on paper shows that the title of this book is a symbol of the removal of Kosovo's autonomy from Milosevic in 1989, and the beginning of the genocide that led to NATO's March-June 1999.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo presents its compliments to the European Commission for European Community Policy and Enlargement Negotiations and expresses its strongest protest related to news and photos published in the media and other official channel of the Commission (d.m. Commissioner's account, showing Commissioner for Neighborship and Enlargement Z. Oliver Varhely at a meeting with Aleksandar Vuciq while in the background, a book promoting ethnic hatred with offensive content and an unacceptable name for the Republic of Kosovo”.
The Republic of Kosovo is widely known for its multiethnic character, tolerance and interreligious harmony. It also provides extensive rights and strong protection for all ethnic and religious communities living in Kosovo. That book is promoted to the picture that the commissioner shared in his Twitter account. There is an opposite mission: to promote hatred and to be abused by the Serbian news and propaganda machine against the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo. This disinforming campaign has become a threat to regional stability and peace in the Western Balkans”.
Haradinaj- Stubula on the verbal note says that while we are in the final phase of dialogue with Serbia we strongly condemn propagandistic materials.
“While we have just renewed efforts to consider the final phase of dialogue with Serbia, we strongly condemn promoting propagandistic material on display during the Commissioner for Neighborship and Enlargement meeting Z. Oliver Varhely with Vucic. Such propaganda does not contribute to the reconciliation process, which now and the server after having said only to deny Serbia's crimes, and to rehabilitate the idealologists of the war crimes machinery supported and orchestrated by the highest authorities in Belgrade”.
The top diplomat requires an official explanation and apology from the European Commission for European Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations.
