Communities with more active cases with COVID-19 in Kosovo, Pristina over 1,000

According to data published by Health Ministry Information Director Faik Hoti so far, the municipality that has mostly active cases is Pristina, with a total of 1090 active cases of coronavrus, 393 healed and 14 deaths.

After Pristina, it is the municipality of Vushtrria, which from the beginning of the pandemic so far has recorded 410 positive people with COVID-19, of which 298 have recovered, 8 have ended with fatality and 104 are still active.

In Prizren of 392 infected persons, 217 persons have already been healed, 17 have ended in death, while active cases are still 163.

In the Ferizaj municipality, although there are fewer infected than Prizren, active cases are much more, full of 224, from the total number of infected people, which is 371, of whom 2 have died, already 145 have recovered, writes Telegrafi.

Gjilan, South Mitrovica and Fushe Kosova also have more than 200 cases infected and more than 100 active as well.

In Gjilan, of 280 infected 149, 4 have already died, and 127 are still active cases.

In South Mitrovica, out of 224 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic, 4 have died, 100 have recovered, while 120 cases are still active.

In Fushe Kosovo, of the 223 confirmed cases, 2 have died, 76 have recovered, while 145 cases of coronavrus are still active.

All other municipalities have less than 100 active cases, meanwhile, so far there have been 28 thousand and 216 tests.

Otherwise, on Sunday, July 12th, before midnight, the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo has announced that a total of 493 samples taken by SKKUK and tracking ground contact with cases of 216 positive cases resulting from COVID-19.

The total number of positive cases is 4,931 cases of 28,216 people who have been tested as suspicious of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Also on Sunday, one person has died, bringing a total of 102 victims who have had other accompanying diseases.

Meanwhile, 40 patients have been cured until the total number of cures to date is 2,267, while the number of active cases is 2,562.

The Kosovo government on Sunday has warned of toughing measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 disease.

Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti said at a news conference Sunday that he will launch a very rigorous implementation of existing measures against the spread of coronavirus.

Hoti has announced that public gatherings and religious rituals will be banned. In public hospitals in Kosovo, the number of people laid out has also increased.

The Kosovo Hospital Service and University Clinic has announced on Sunday that 301 patients confirmed with COVID-19 positive are in public hospitals in Kosovo. /
