The Albanian community in Germany, through a statement on its official Facebook page, has written against recent developments about the Special Court, respectively, against charges for Thaci and Weselin.
This is the full response:
REAGIM
The Albanian community in Germany, with a major concern, follows recent developments in the case of raising charges against the president of the Republic of Kosovo. Hashim Thaci, as well as one of the KLA leaders Mr. Kadri Wessel.
For those of us who are always functioning of the rule of law, even further we will defend justice, so for us, there is no dilemma that crime must be punished. But this case, we're convinced that there's a political precadence and motivation, and it's pretty bad. This is trying to bring mud, tarnish the KLA's glorious war, as well as the ruler to declare its leaders a war criminal.
Taking into account the Russian-Serbian political stances and their allies, these indices for raising the indictment on the part of the prosecution, add to our suspicion that they intend:
-Weaking the position of the state of Kosovo in talks on final status with Serbia,
The expulsion of KLA leaders, Mr. Hashim Thaqi, Mr. Thaqi. Kadri Wessel, and many others.
Official Belgrade already rubs its hands for joy, as well as for now hopes in a trial in their favour.
We are hopeful that these acts without evidence and evidence will be thrown into court as groundless, people in question will be declared innocent, from there the state of Kosovo will emerge even stronger.
We call on all political subjects and nongovernmental organisations, to pass over the narrow party resentments. Zata, this isn't about election cheerleaders. Here, they try to shake up the foundations of the state of our tender state.
All in defense of our glorious values and history!
Mayor,
Yusuf
