This is a hope for European Parliament member Violet Von Cromon, that this change of presidency could benefit Kosovars from isolation.
“It is unfortunate for the visa liberalisation process for Kosovo. I've lobbied too much about this matter. There is much hesitation as to whether the criteria have been met on many issues of equal reputation like organised crime in Kosovo. It is not a technical issue, but there is no clear reason why the visa regime” is not yet being removed.
“I hope that with the German presidency, visas are given to Kosovars. It is discrimination and we cannot promise what we cannot do. This frustration is also felt by many of my colleagues in Parliament, in particular in Berlin, but in many other capitals. I am quite optimistic that the German presidency will accept this” situation.
Cremon is also a Rapporteur for Kosovo in the EP.
