The last place to follow the idea of providing free services is the town of Cancún in Mexico. The vacationer's hot spot has long beaches and is usually filled with visitors.
Mexico plans to reopen tourism in the area by June 8th, and the initiative will begin a week later throughout the country on June 15th.
Of course, the FCO still recommends that it not be traveled from outside.
Also, the country will offer free hotels for two nights, free food, along with renting cars.
Roberto Cintron, president of the Association of Hotels in Cancuon, Puerto Morelos, and Isla Mujares, claimed that this method is being used for tourism recovery.
The “Ide is designed to reactivate holidays in our destinations following the crisis caused by Ovid-19”.
