After a three-month break, the 2020 Golden Ball competition has returned, with the best players in the world aiming to win the world's largest individual award in football.
Lionel Messi remains the footballer who won the most of the prize -- full of six times -- as he was confirmed as the best in December last year.
After him comes Cristiano Ronaldo, who has won this award five times.
But both of these footballers, this year, face the fiercest competition they've had in recent years, seriously jeopardising what is known as their <x0-second-era end of”.
With EURO 2020 postponed for the following year, the football calendar has changed for this year, making football opportunities even greater.
The main leagues, except for France, are continuing, while the Champions League will return in August.
The footballers who go far into the Champions League will increase the chances for this award.
In the latest ranking, Robert Lewanodski remains the favourite, followed by Kevin de Bruyne of Manchester City.
Lionel Messi remains only in third place, while Cristiano Ronaldo is fourth.
