Kosovo police have detailed the incident yesterday near the Parliament building, which included several Vetevendosje activists and President Thaci's imminent defence.
Police by means of a communique for the media have said that they have undertaken all necessary actions on the basis of legal authorization.
The “Referenced the case to the 03.06.20 near the Republic of Kosovo Assembly, where a person for public order and calm has been detained, the Kosovo Police in this case has undertaken all necessary consecutive legal authorisations that he has”, he has said.
It has also been known in this communiqué that the arrested activist has been given needed medical treatment and has been appointed a defence attorney.
Accompanied at the police station, “is offered medical treatment, and on official duty the defence attorney has been appointed. At the same time concerning the actions of police officials, according to the pre-legal provisions the Police Inspectorate has been informed, of further treatment and competence of the case”, the report said.
Kosovo's “Police co-operate closely with Kosovo's justice institutions and Police Inspectorate, as well as remain committed to respecting human rights in the implementation of legal duties and authorisations”, the Kosovo Police conclude.
