Chelsea has paid 53m euros for activating the Werner release clause, which will earn more than 10m euros in the season in England.

Werner has made a total of 157 presentations for RB Leipzig, marking 93 goals and making 40 assets.

The 24-year-old will also not play Leipzig in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, and will pass to London once the Bundesliga season ends.
