“Racism in some environments is somehow accepted. We have to understand from childhood that it cannot be tolerated. Education is an important part of social change. If I'm offering $100 million, with Jordan Brand, it's about making a difference. It is a necessary step to attack entrenched racism, supporting educational opportunities”. There are these words of Michael Jordan after granting $100 million in 10 years to support organisations working for racial equality, social justice and more access to infrastructure.
In an interview with Charlotte Observer, Jordan has acknowledged that access to instigation is crucial both for human promotion and for changing cultural rules on race and poverty issues. It has defined the murder of close American George Floyd in Minneapolis, on the part of a white police officer, the “turningpoint” for decades the indignation of colored people for brutality against them. We've been down like Americans for so many years. It can't be accepted. That's the point of not coming back. We need to take a position. We need to be better as society”
Just because someone grew up in the barracks doesn't mean to see it as different, or inferior. You shouldn't feel better than others because you grew up with more advantages”, the former Chicago Bulls champion said. Although he has not yet let the projects be funded, Jordan has underlined the importance of education: my “My parents have always told me education is the best way to connect with other people. Education is the best way for blacks to improve themselves. To compete, to be the best, you have to be educated”.
