First League expected to begin in mid-August, Superman in late August

Pandemia COVID-19 has caused major disorders in world football, but also in Kosovo's.

The cause of this Kosovo football pandemic was on pause for almost three months, until, excluding Superlea, the Kosovo Football Federation decided to cancel all other football events in the country.

The current edition resumed June 7th, until 25 July is expected to end and the champion is declared.

But the Kosovo Football Federation has not yet decided when the 2020-2021 edition in Kosovo football will begin.

FFK Secretary General Erroll Salihu has declared that no exact date of the new edition has been set yet, but that he believes the First League will start earlier.

The first League must start early, I believe in mid-August, because there are more teams, and the Superlea is expected to begin by the end of August. Let's not forget we have the European Championship next year, so it should start early”, Erroll Salihu said Tuesday for “Zeri.info”.

Salih has sought understanding of the situation, following circumstances created by the pandemic.

We all need to understand that a big bad has happened, but we have to adjust the situation. I think next week we'll set the dates basically when the new edition starts so the teams can prepare”, Salihu indicated.
