Family Violence Police Officer Arrested and Suspensed

The IPK had accepted information on this case on June 03th, 2020 through the Kalster Line (0800033) by Kosovo Police over the suspicion of a police official in Lipjan has committed the first family criminal act with Article 248 of the Republic of Kosovo's Penal Code.
Shortly after receiving information, IPK investigators have responded to the call by interviewing the suspect's wife victim, as well as the continuation of investigative actions, has been interviewed in the quality of both the suspect and the police official.
Following these investigative actions, the competent prosecutor and the prosecutor's decision police official have been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours.
Regarding the same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, the police official has been suspended.
IPK investigators in full co-ordination with the Prosecution will continue to take further investigative action towards full enlightenment of all the circumstances related to the case.
