VV reacts to Boiken Abbas' arrest: Let's hope it's not revenge.

Movement “Vetevendosje” has demanded from justice bodies in Albania to release their activist from Tirana, Boicin Abazi as soon as possible. According to LVV, with the ban on Abbas we hope it won't be revenge for an Indian who resents the destruction of deals with Vucinqi. “Vuchiqi may be someone's personal friend, but [...]

“Vuciqi may be someone's individual friend, but he can never be a friend of Albanians, because of the history and policy he represents”, the communique says.
Full response:
Free Albanian National Theatre defenders
Even today, some of the protesters who opposed the collapse of the National Theatre by Government and City Hall in Tirana are still being held in prison, among them and the Executive Director of the Centre of the V Movement. IN Albania, Boine Abazi.
Boiken Abazi in addition to his contribution as important activist for Movement V IT is also noted as an educated, intellectual citizen. His ban, we hope, will not be the revenge of an infernal who resents the destruction of the Vucinciqi marketplaces. Vuciqi may be someone's personal friend, but he can never be a friend of Albanians, because of the history and policy he represents.
The theater building was a loving asset to the citizens, its destruction was the uncivilized barbarian. The protesters were peaceful, the theatre's collapse brutal. They are being held without reason and by firm political orders. Political responsibilities there clearly seem to be wanting to block the civic expression in protest and public participation with arguments in opposing the collapse of the National Theatre. But any attempt to stop the civil protest with imprisonment is evidence that it only increases protest and resistance.
We ask the law bodies of the Republic of Albania to maintain integrity by not continuing this political prison of protesters further, as well as to begin investigations into the destroyers of the National Theatre and those who subjected violence to protesters, for the true violators of the Constitution of Laws in power, of democratic procedures and transparency, in terms of decisionmaking.
It seems that democracy is barely being maintained in Albania. But democracy is the ability of citizens to impress the rulers, and it is not the spectacle of power propaganda, which caress their beards. Those who have believed that their power is limitless, and that they can violate and exclude social groups by labeling them minorities, end up disappointed. The Boice Abazi must be released, free the protesters, and hold the destroyer responsible for not being destroyed.
