Tourism representatives in Montenegro do not rule out the possibility that in early July the tourist season with visitors from the region will begin, although they have not presented any timetable for the possible opening of the season after the coronic pandemic.
They warn facilities for beach owners and objects, as well as adequate protection for visitors.
Ulcinj Tourist Organisation Director Fatmir Geka believes there will be tourist seasons this year.
“I hope and I hope we have a tourist season this year. It starts with the fact that we have 70-80% of guests from the region. Although it is not only up to us, but also the situation in the region, however given the current situation we can enter directly into the momentum of the tourist season in July and August”, Geka said.
In this context the Public Company for management of Montenegro's coast warned facilities for beach owners and coastal objects. The chairman of the Steering Council of this company, Jauddet Caculi, noted the facilities for the prosperity of the tourist season.
“We are designated for delaying tenants' obligations in the area of the Sea Mines and various objects on Montenegro's coast to 90 days “, Caculi said.
Even on Ulcinj's coast, it's thought of different approaches to preserving distance between vacationers. This distance by Caculi will be 4 meters.
“We've made several provisual proposals, which envision the removal of the tent at four meters apart. In this context, however, the assessment of health authorities will also be important, and in co-operation with them we will approve final plans”, Caculi said.
Fatmir Gjeka also believes that such a move in keeping the distance helps Ulcinj's exceptional and extremely long beaches.
Our priority is that we have coastal spaces like Big Beach where we can easily keep our distance. We are the only municipality in Montenegro where we have room for distance for a very large number of guests”, Geka said.
The Ulcinj municipality is among the countries with special tourist resources in Montenegro, which thanks to this wealth and survive economically.
