Russia marks frightening growth of Coronavirus infected

With European countries now stabilising pandemic statistics, the attention of the international medical community is already focusing on some countries that are only now seeing the rise of infection curve by COVID-19.

Beyond the American figures, where even today the infected have exceeded 25 thousand people, the country with the largest growth of those affected by the coronary is already Russia.

In the last 24 hours alone, there are more than 10,000 new cases confirmed by the authorities, while the dead are 58, for a total of 1280.

Although the victims have not been numerous in other countries, the widespreadness, now some 135 thousand, worries authorities, especially with regard to older ages.

But the situation is not entirely calm even in a “gigant<x1-> demographic like India. The Asian country has registered the worst figures so far, with about 2600 affected, and 83 people who have passed away.

One disturbing element in India is undoubtedly even the statistics of tests conducted for coronary, “just” a million, which means an average of 758 tests per million people.

Russia, as a comparison, has 28,000 tests per million inhabitants, Italy more than 35 thousand. One element that adds to the fear that figures can be blown in the coming days.
