Boston Secretics star Jaylen Brown led a peaceful protest march through Atlanta on Saturday evening to seek justice for George Floyd.
Brown, who broadcast part of the march live through his account in Instagram and also posted video talks on his page, said during the live broadcast that he had travelled 15 hours from Boston to protest in Atlanta.
“I have travelled 15 hours to reach Georgia, my community”, Brown said, conveys news.net.
This is a peaceful protest. Being a celebrity, being a player in the NBA, doesn't get me kicked out of this. First of all, I'm a black man and I'm a member of this community. We're raising awareness of some of the injustices we've seen. It's not okay”
“As a new one, you have to hear our perspective. Our voices must be heard. I'm 23. I don't know all the answers. But I feel how everyone else feels, no doubt”, he said.
