Former Prime Minister Jakup Krasniqi, commenting on reports that Russia wants involvement in dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, has said this is happening because of Kosovo presidents and prime ministers.
In an authorial writing, Krasniqi stresses that Kosovo politics every day is causing problems to the country, which are difficult to repair, Periscopi explains.
“Today, on 13 May 2020, our media (portals) are writing that even Putin's Russia wants to be part of Kosovo-Serbia political talks. They're not guilty of asking for this, because it's not their fault, why “the Pandora box” is open. This box has, without any political reason, opened the issues of talks between Pristina and official Belgrade, at the expense of Kosovo presidents and prime ministers. And not only have they opened up, but the state of Kosovo is being caused every day with major difficult repair problems. No doubt the biggest responsibility in this political mess has today's president of Kosovo and political parties based on this contracting process“, Krasniqi wrote.
According to Krasniqi, in these talks, Kosovo had three and more major reasons not to enter at all:
- Kosovo and Serbia, under the direction of the UN Secretary General and under the supervision of the Contact Group in 2007, had concluded Vienna's talks, where each side had postponed its demands and in the end the Serb side and Russia disagreed.
- When because of Russian veto in the KS to recognise Kosovo's independence, the Western world (BE – SHBA) chose the path of Kosovo's declaration of independence in the Kosovo Assembly. So the declaration was made in full co-ordination of Kosovo with the US and EU on February 17, 2008. And
- After that move, Serbia has sent a question to Kosovo: “Is the Kosovo Declaration of Independence compatible with international justice?”. The JND on 22nd July of 2010 answers to Serbia that: “The declaration of Kosovo's declaration of independence is in full accordance with international law.” UN vocational institution “The JND considers that general international law contains no provision under which Kosovo's declaration of independence is prohibited. Rather, the JND finds that independence has been declared in accordance with international law, the former prime speaker has said. /Periscopi/
