Ishmael PDK: State Negligence led to the death of the young, Minister Vitita and Svechla resign

Secretary - General The PDK, Ismaili Bridge, has said the state failed to protect it and the ministers Sfechla's Year must resign.

Agon Musliu, a 26-year-old from Gjilan, has passed away yesterday, jumping from the high level of Conviks in Pristina, where he was being held in quarantine.

His family's deepest condolences, which has been hit by intense and severe pain.

This tragic act has shocked us all.

He was an excellent student in Germany and had just returned to Kosovo, along with 146 other citizens, within organised repatriation.

Of them, only 9 people were sent to quarantine, while another 138 were allowed to go home.

Unfortunately, despite the recommendation by the Kosovo Embassy in Berlin, that Agoni be sent home, he ended up in the quarantine of the Students Centre.

The event becomes even more painful after reporting that this young man had serious health problems and had documents that witnessed this, there was a request from his family that their son be released, and he himself had requested that he not be held in solitary confinement.

Meanwhile, while in quarantine, medical assistance had been requested because Agoni was depressed, as confirmed by official communication of the Gjilan Commission Emergency Operations Centre to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Despite having been long announced about Agon's situation, none of these were taken into consideration by these two ministries, leaving a young man completely alone who needed help and support.

This institutional neglect, this lack of carelessness, unfortunately resulted in the loss of his life.

Agony's death should never be kept silent and should in no way be erased.

This case must be cleared of the organs of justice. Urgently and completely.

And all those responsible must render an account as soon as possible.

Agon was under state care.

There is no dilemma here.

All of them, who, by their actions or inactions, postponed or created the conditions for this young man to end his life in quarantine, must be responsible, since the deceased was under the care of state institutions.

The prospects for justification, with excuses to be held responsible, are further burden for Agon Musliu's family, insulting their pain, and failing for the state of Kosovo.

This cannot happen.

Today, the least that would have to happen is the resignation of ministers Arben Vitita and Jhelal Sfechla, which would have to come at least as a moral act.

This is considered necessary and there is no room for speculation.

Also disturbing are the facts that are being drawn from quarantined citizens at the Student Centre, under which their treatment is not equal, since some people allegedly have been released from quarantine with personal ties to power, two or three days after the repatriation. While others continue to be held there for up to two weeks, as was decided upon by the government's measures.

Therefore, it is necessary to undertake deep investigations, not only for this painful case of Agony, but also for the whole manner in which quarantine has been administered and how our citizens have been treated during this period of pandemic.

The investigation should take place as a obligation to impose justice in the country.
