Numerous questions have been made about the championship's resumption, following a nearly quarterly suspension. The Albanian Football Federation has decided that the Royal Category will resume on June 3rd, while the First and Second Category resume on June 7th. But what will happen if a footballer or staff member turns out positive with COVID-19.
In a pronomation for “RTV Duagjini”, FSHF President Armand Duka, explained that football will not stop even if there are any infected persons, as he isolates himself in the house while the activity continues. Understandably, if the number of infected is high, then the development of sporting activity becomes impossible.
I wish no citizen or positive did end up being affected by Coronavirus. Aggression is down. We'll take all measures, even if someone gets hurt, the virus won't spread, so we'll respect what we've proposed in protocol and guidance given by experts. We'll test if there's signs. If it happens, the championship will resume. We'll just isolate the affected football player. Stopping is harmful. In view of the damage caused, it is best to return to field”, President Duka stated in part.
