About 600 citizens have sought psychological assistance at the Ministry of Health

This phone line is free and citizens can seek psychological help by interacting with psychologists. This line is enabled by the Ministry of Health.

So announced Health Ministry spokesman Faik Hoti in an interview for Online Economics.

According to Hoti, about 40 psychologists and psychology students working during the day receive different calls from citizens and share with them the sorrows they manifest.

Activating this line, Hoti said it occurred as a result of the Health Ministry's co-operation with the Department of Psychology and the University of Pristina.

He said so far the number of calls has multiplied, reaching 600.

The free phone line for psychological assistance has been activated in the Ministry of Health since April 22nd this year, and about 40 psychologists and psychology students work throughout the day, receive different calls from citizens, and share with them the sorrows they manifest. This line offers opportunities for any citizen who has a concern and has something to share and advise them to contact them throughout the day and to conduct conversations that can benefit their health. The line has been activated as a result of the Health Ministry's co-operation with the Pristina Department of Psychology and University. There have been a certain number of calls that citizens of different ages have made, but since mobile operators Vala and IPKO have shared the message with their clients that the Ministry of Health and University of Pristina have given such a line available to citizens, the number of calls has been multiplied so far, there have been about 600 calls to 148x1>, Hoti added to Online Economy.

While the volunteer at the Center for Psychological Assistance, Gresa Selmani, spoke of their volunteer readiness for all citizens who address their concerns.

According to Selmani, it is important at this time to head to various institutions or even the Mental Health Center, where you can consult psychologists.

The line of psychological assistance to Coronavirus is a line that has been initiated as a result of co-operation with the Ministry of Health and the Department of Psychology. We here are volunteers-psychologists, who are ready for citizens from 11am to 20 pm, where all citizens can address and express all concerns. The moment citizens call on our line, they have some kind of consulting consult with psychologists, depending on the nature of the concern that they express or the best possible advice in this period is reference to various institutions or even mental health centres and depending on the demands they have received from adequate services where they refer to”, she told EO.

Selmani has said this is a good initiative since citizens have an address where they can express their concerns.
