The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Kadri Veselin, has praised as a very important step for the Republic of Kosovo, the membership of System, Transition and Market Operator (KOSTT) in the European Network of Energy Transmission System Operators (ENTSO –E).
Wessel has written on his Facebook page that this membership is the product of major multi-year efforts and will enable a full integration of Kosovo into the regional and European electricity market.
Moreover, this decision also paves the way for the functioning of the Kosovo Power Highway -- Albania -- which for years has been unjustly blocked” -- has written Wessel, who has said this membership has been followed thanks to continued US and German support.
Kadri Wessel's full statement:
Voting the engagement agreement of our System, Transition and Market Operator (KOSTT) into the European Network of Energy Transition System Operators (ENTSO –E) is a very happy news for Kosovo. This membership is the product of our huge multi-year efforts and will enable a full integration of our country into the regional and European electricity market. Moreover, this decision paves the way for the functioning of the Kosovo Power Highway, which for years has been unjustly blocked.
I thank COSTT, as well as the US Embassy and Germany, who stayed very close to Kosovo with political and technical support in the process.
