This pandemic balance brings to 58351 the total death toll, already exceeding the number of American soldiers killed in two decades during the Vietnam conflict.
About 58 220 American soldiers have lost their lives during the Vietnam War (1955-1975), according to the official balance published in national archives.
The country has also passed the symbolic threshold of a million cases diagnosed by COVID-19, about a third of the cases registered in the world, according to University Johns Hopkins.
