Mr. Varadkar had been working as a hospital doctor before the deputy was elected in the Irish parliament.
He had abandoned his medical profession in 2013, a year before the appointment of health minister, writes the BBC.
But he was re-registered as a doctor last month, reported Irish Times.
The newspaper reported that Mr. Varadkar will work weekly shifts in an area that fits his qualifications.
His move comes after the appeal made by Ireland's Health Service Executive for former medics who had left the profession to register for work during the pandemic.
Mr. Vardkar, 41, is born in Dublin as the son of an Indian doctor and an Irish nurse.
While our government does not stop numerous media conferences even though very often they are having nothing important and in public interest to say. /Periscope
