The Democratic League of Kosovo has declared it ready to form the government, in case such a thing is asked by President Hashim Thaci.
The LDK has expressed the will for a coalition with the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, the Social Democrat Initiative and the New Kosovo Alliance, as well as with communities.
But if that happens, the possibility that the new government under the leadership of this coalition could be small in the Assembly may be small, in the fact that this coalition does not have the 61 votes necessary for voting in the Kosovo Assembly, without the votes of the Serbian List that are 10 completely.
The LDK currently has 28 deputies, AAK has 13 deputies, NISMA+ The AKR has 6 deputies, while non-Serb minorities have 9 deputies, while the Serbian List has 10 deputies.
Supporting this coalition for possible government formation will not grant the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
This party's spokesman, Avni Bytyci, has said that the PDK will not support the LDK or any other party.
“PDK won't support it The LDK, and no other party to form government”, has declared Bytyci.
The only “hope that LDK will secure the necessary votes for formation of the Government remains on the Serbian List, which is not known whether to support or not.
The LDK in the past has been against the coalition with the Serbian List, saying no government will be stable when it depends on MPs from the Serbian List.
We remember that the Kosovo government, formed by the coalition between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo, was voted into the assembly on 3 February. But, still two months old, this coalition collapsed, followed by the no-confidence motion filed by the Democratic League of Kosovo and voted by the opposition, on 25 March 2020.
Since March 25th, Kosovo continues to be led by a incumbent government
