Manuel Neuer is unlikely to be in Bayern Munich next season, says Lothar Matthaus, with a contract dispute expected to lead the World Cup winner away from Allianz Areena].
Germany's international goalkeeper has hoped to engage in a new long-term agreement with Bundesliga champions.
Despite being 34 years old, a man who has spent the last nine seasons with Bayer reportedly has sought a five-year agreement from his current employers.
He told Sky Deutschland: “I can understand his desire for security and a very long contract very well. But five years is also a long time”.
He should not properly forget how loyal FC Bayern was at every stage. For both sides, it would be wonderful for Manuel to stay several years longer”.
It must first last for three years and if it is still healthy and it does work it will get the next” contract.
