KFOR Commander in Kosovo General Major Michele Reese was hosted today by incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti for a working meeting with the focus of the overall security situation and the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
General Rizi reaffirmed KFOR's unilateral commitment to contributing to security and protection, as well as freedom of movement of all communities in Kosovo. He also confirmed that thanks to the precautionary and stringent measures undertaken from the very beginning on all bases and objects, KFOR's capabilities and capacities have not been undermined by COVID-19. A limited number of soldiers have been infected. They're being treated in medical facilities.

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, on the other hand, informed General Reese of the current situation with COVID-19 and the continued measures the Government has taken in preventing and managing the spread of the corona virus.
Kurti and General Ries expressed their mutual satisfaction with the excellent level of co-operation between health institutions in Kosovo, KFOR and regional Himdars, with particular emphasis on exchanging information and supporting initiatives to manage the spread of the corona virus. /Telegraphy/
