Twelve hours after the removal of the 100% customs fee, 16 trucks with goods have been introduced to Kosovo. Three of them, during Wednesday, have passed through the border checkpoint in Merdare.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon hours Wednesday, a truck from Serbia has not been allowed to enter Kosovo due to the lack of a phyto-sanitary certificate.
“A truck with goods from Serbia is in return procedure, as there has been no phytosanitary certificate required with the Government's decision on gradual implementation of reciprocity as a principle in relations with Serbia”, Kosovo Customs spokesman Adriatic Stavileci has said for Time.
While yesterday in the village of Tresave, Leposaviq, two suspected citizens of Serbia have been arrested, who from the police unit have been confronted with their vehicle, in which 3.5 tonnes of different trees and vegetables had been loaded.
“The suspects illegally entered Kosovo, smuggled goods and disrespected the government's decision during the” epidemic, Time broadcasts, reportedly.
After interviewing the suspects, Kosovo police say all police actions were undertaken according to the prosecutor's instructions.
