A 39-year-old woman from the village of Lluda of Istog is the eighth victim in Kosovo by COVID-19. It is the first case that was diagnosed with this disease from the municipality of Istog. This municipality's Health Director has provided details for Gazeta Express on the route the 39-year-old had made until the Coronavirus test.

The 39-year-old village of Lluda of Istog, which also had other leading diseases had been operated on at QKUK, and then diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus.

But before resulting positive in testing for the late coronary, she had first gone to the Istog Family Medicine Centre for Control.

Since her health was not stable, she was taken from Istog to Peja Regional Hospital, where she remained two days.

Istog Health Director Muje Osmanaj has shown how it came to the diagnosis of the patient with COVID-19 and the path she took until it was perceived to be affected by the virus.

In all three links of this chain, the QKMF in Istog, the Pec Hospital and the CKUK has not been suspected of COVID-19. There have been problems with lukth, raspberry and other problems, originally sent to Peja in the coronary unit, there they kept it two days after they did the CTs, and the others turned out to be not good from the lungs, then sent to Pristina. That's where they operated, they had no need, we actually suspected how he could get into surgery when his lungs were bad. When they saw that it wasn't clear after the operation, one of the doctors had probably suspected and tested it”, Osmanaj declared.

While he stressed that according to the first information the woman from the village of Lluga had been visiting her family in the Low Squirene Valley.

We haven't had cases in Istog and we can't know where they came from. According to information, she's been to her family a week ago in the Low Clan in Skenderaj, although even Skenderaj has not been affected, but we know there are asimtomatic patients who can track the virus”, he has stated in a direct connection to Express.

Osmanaj, meanwhile, has indicated that 39-year-old children are staying with their uncle after her husband passed away several years ago.

Measures have been taken for children, went to the uncle, didn't have the father, lived only with Mother”, Osmanaj said.

Osmanaj has indicated that since last night, when the woman from Istog resulted in COVID-19, she has been tracking all the contacts she may have had with other people.

We're in contact tracking last night. Initially in direct contact were four QKMF health workers, a doctor, a technician and two drivers. They have been identified, expected 7 to 10 days to undergo tests for COVID-19”, Osmanaj indicated.

He has made it known that Istog is not in quarantine, and today the Emergency Council has gathered with the mayor to coordinate with the measures he will take following after the first case with Corleone in this municipality.

We'll take a little more rigorous measures for the village of Lluga, police will patrol three village neighbourhoods, but from tomorrow we'll take further” measures, Osmanaj said.
