It is not surprising that the two biggest Golden Ball winners have been the best players in the field more often than anyone else in this decade.
According to popular page Footy Room, Messi leads the race with a total of 225 awards as matchplayer in 10 years, while Ronaldo is second at 125 awards during his time at Real Madrid and Juvenous.
The third spot on this list is held by Belgian star Eden Hazard, while there are no other major names such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Neymar and Louis Suarez are missing.
