The board of the Kosovo Basketball Federation (FBK) has formed a Labour Group, which will begin work on drafting the FBK Strategic Plan 2021-2025.
The working group will be monitored by FBK chairman Arben Fetah, while being led by Secretary General Elvira Dushku, while all FBK interest groups are involved in the Labour Group, while FIBA will also be part of this very important process for FBK.
The working group will start operating in May, while the entire strategic planning process will last until the end of the year. The FBK Strategic Plan 2021-2025 will be presented at the next FBK Election Assembly, which is on schedule in early 2021.
Arben Fetah, president of FBK:
Kosovo's “Basketball Forum in recent years has experienced rapid development in terms of its leadership, management and internal organisation, and this thanks to the maximum work and dedication of all its organisational structures.
In addition to the annual plans with which the FBK has held its activity in one year, the FBK Board at the end of 2019 has approved 5 very important documents, which will be guides in our work in adopting the FBK's strategic plan. These five documents that have recently been adopted by the FBK Assembly are also:
The Learning Doctrine and basketball game exercise in Kosovo;
The basic characteristics of modern basketball and its development trends, such as Doctrine, for determining the content of professional and unified work in basketball in Kosovo;
The first organisational programme and points for establishing the FBK National Basketball Centre;
The establishment and activities of Kosovo Basketball Academy;
Kosovo's children and fun basketball with some elements of Mini-Basketball”.
So at the point where the Kosovo Basketball Federation is now located is a necessary longer-term plan for the organisation, that is, a Strategic Plan.
Establishing a Strategic Plan is a very important part of each organisation that seeks to develop and grow. This plan will help prepare a realistic vision for the future of the Federation. By preparing the Strategic Plan, we can postpone our developmental and growth potential of Federation”.
