The Premier League is under great pressure from several clubs that want to end the season on June 30th because of some players whose contracts expired on this date.
A group of clubs have become together, especially those competing in Europe, demanding that this edition be closed earlier, reports the Daily Mail.
The season is currently suspended because of the coronavirus and reportedly cannot be closed until July or August.

However, clubs are afraid they can get into bigger debts and demand that this season be completed on June 30th.
Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool, have some players who expired at the end of June and with some of them will split the streets.
They do not want to continue the players' contracts, even though FIFA had suggested the players would continue staying in the respective clubs.
The next meeting of the Premeir League will be on Friday, April 17th, and clubs want the main agenda to be the final date for the edition to be completed.
