Cardiologists' Association: In Kosovo every day about 13 people are dying from heart disease, because even the Coronavirus

The Kosovo Cardiologists' Association has delivered a sensationalizing message about cardiovascular diseases at the time of COVID-19. This association suggests that in the country more people are dying of heart problems than Coronavirus.

The chairman of the Kosovo Cardiologists' Association, Gani Bajraktari, in a video message, has said that heart and blood vessel diseases remain the main cause of world disease and mortality, even in the time of pandemic.

In Kosovo, on average, 13 people die from heart and blood vessels each day. The European Cardiology Association has calculated that COVID-19 has caused serious collateral damage to heart disease patients, due to the patient's reluctance to seek help in relevant hospitals”, Bayraktari said.

On the other hand, he has called on the citizens that if feelings of concern, such as chest pain and austereness, inspiration, or lack of consciousness, they should immediately call the family doctor or the nearest Emergency Center.

In the end, he has appealed to respect ICHPK's measures, to protect against coronary, such as physical distance and protective means.
