From the evidence room at this station, there were suspected missing several guns and shit.
The weapons that were removed from this police station were allegedly rioting March 2008, KTV has learned from sources within the police station.
Kosovo police days ago have suspended the responsibility of the testimony chamber, the chief of investigation and the commander of the police station on suspicion of misuse of official office.
Deputy Police Commander in northern Mitrovica Besim Hoti has said that after an inspection they had made to this station they had seen irregularities in the testimony room and had immediately announced it. IPK.
But because of the investigation, Hoti said he couldn't talk more about the case.
The IPK has temporarily suspended these officials, but then recommended that the police continue with this move until the investigation is complete.
For stealing at the Police Station in Zubin-Potok, the investigation has also been launched in Mitrovica.
But even this institution has given no details about the investigation and has not clarified whether it has banned any of the officials involved in the scandal.
While the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has said that they are working on clarifying the random circumstances.
But in response it is not specified whether any of the police officials have been detained or is in custody.
The IPK has not confirmed whether the weapons allegedly missing from the testimony chamber are linked to a criminal incident.
“In consultation with the competent prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecution in Mitrovica, IPK investigators are taking investigative action in terms of clarifying the case circumstances and determining criminal responsibility for suspected officials. At this phase of the IPK investigation, it cannot confirm whether the weapons allegedly missing from the testimony chamber are linked to any criminal incident. The ongoing Kosovo Police Inspectorate has given remarks to the testimony chambers in some of the police stations.
In the latest inspection report, this institution had encountered several irregularities in regard to preserving evidence within the evidence chambers.
In one case, the IPK in the testimony room at Ferizaj Police Station found that a lot of confiscated money was kept in a safe in another office, not in the evidence room.
