The Clubs of Serie A have dismissed the idea of a scenario where play-off and play-out to end the current season.
The league had an assembly this evening, through video calls, so it could solve the question of the season that the season will end after the coronavirus passes.
According to “journalist La Gazzetta dello Sport”, Nicolo Schira, clubs rejected the play-off proposal to decide the current Serie A season, both for title and for survival.
The idea that is being liked is to hold the matches every three days, and to take place throughout June, in order to close the season fairly.
This means that Euro 2020 will be delayed as seems more and more possible.
The idea of play-off and play-out was of current FIGC President Gabriele Grava.
However, such a scenario has not been seen in Italian football elite since 2004-05.
