Selmanaj: If the government is named anti-American, the LDK leaves

“The stability of government today is complete. But the LDK in no option can continue to be part of a government that can be considered anti-American. But at this stage, this topic is not even paved within the LDK. The coalition is powerful”, he added.

For the meeting between Thaci and Vucinqi in Washington, LDK deputy Driton Selmanaj said the biggest danger facing Kosovo is precisely President Thaci's negotiation of international agreements.

Referring to the letters Prime Minister Kurti sent to the American president, Donald Trump, and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeii, Selmanaj said this is not a good practice because, as he said, Trump does not take these letters seriously.

It is not a good practice for the prime minister to communicate with telegrams. Green has been in Pristina and is ready to meet Kosovo delegations in Berlin. It's up to us now, and communications with telegrams to get him off the agenda, but to communicate directly with partners. Americans aren't the ones you can discuss in other ways but in front of them. So we have talked to them constantly in Pristina. About Kurt's proposal for the tax, he said he wished it wouldn't come down to the LDK, because, as he said, “we started a good job in co-governing”.

“I would not like the situation to come so that LDk ministers vote differently from LVV's. Admittedly, we do not agree fully on this subject, we have a difference, but we have a hope that Mr. Kurt will reflect. Not to be heard the LDK's request, but to clearly hear the message of those who freed Kosovo”, Selmanaj added.

If there is a need, there will be tax meetings among party leaders Kurti and Mustafa, he said, adding that the LDK has a clear position on the tax.
