The head of the Social Democrat Initiative has reacted to the statement of the US State Department, namely Richard Greenell, US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Kosnet and Special Representative for the Western Balkans Matthew Palmer, who exposed rumours that there's a secret plan to exchange territories.
The State Department's “Declaration that there is no secret plan for exchange of territories silences conspiring voices for the existence of such plans”, Limaj wrote.
On the other hand, Limaj said, today's statement gives added confidence to reaching the final agreement with Serbia under US mediation for mutual recognition and UN membership. Similarly, the head of the Initiative has written that signing the White House agreement is the best race and would be an honor to our country. Kosovo is blessed with US friendship, the head of the Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, has written at the end of his response.
