Soldiers helped move 200 patients just before midnight from local hospitals to conference centre I FEMA, where 1,300 hospital beds have been established, the Madrid regional government said in a statement.
The improvised hospital will receive a total of over 300 Corleone patients this weekend, said incumbent Antonio Zapatero, in an interview for the daily newspaper El Mundo.
While the field hospital will have 5,500 beds after complete, including 500 will have intensive care units.
In Spain so far, there are 1700 casualties from the coronary, while the number of affected has increased by over 28,000. With this balance Spain is the most hit country in Europe after Italy.
