While Kosovo has not yet marked any cases affected by the Coronavirus, preventative measures have already been implemented in the capital. Starting tonight at 22:00 p.m., the polluting of the <x0 ... Urban <x0 ... These two actions have been taken because this is what Pristina's first leader, Shpend Ahmeti, has decided.

The chief executive of the Public Company “Torfiqu Urban”, Lulzim Rexhepaj, has stated that tonight the disinfectation of all public buses by a company contracted by the Pristina municipality.

According to him, they will consult competent individuals about how many times the spraying of buses is needed.

And we're going to start disinfecting Urban Traffic buses tonight and then we're going to have to consult professionals about what a disinfectant schedule is going to be in every day, because of course every night there will be no need... At 10: 00 p.m., buses will be disinfected after the regular cleaning that we have will be placed through the pumps that a company specialising for this contracted by the Pristina Community”, he said.

“Traffic leader Urban” said the company has a good maintenance of 51 buses they own. He even says that they are equipped with the necessary hygienic tools, and whenever recommended, they will be made available.

The Urban Traffic bus will be cleaned every night by the garbage collection, the vacuum cleaners we've supplied through procurement procedures... We don't find it reasonable to panic in citizens, drive normally, fulfill their day-to-day obligations, why don't we use the buses of Urban Traffick? We've taken some measures, we've been supplied with hygienic materials so that as the mayor of the municipality declared, we can take preventive measures. With procurement procedures as public companies we've been supplied with protective masks, laboratory gloves with disinfectant, and we've also advised drivers to open ventilation when the bus is on fire... We have the material in the warehouse that we don't see fit, we're going to follow the situation, that's going to be according to recommendations that field professionals give us, Redzepaj stressed.

In addition to disinfecting the buses of “Urban Traffic”, the Pristina municipality has closed the Social Centres for the Mosshear from today. The closure of these centres has confirmed Pristina municipality spokeswoman Miranda Mullafazliu.

“All pension centres are closed in the Pristina municipality today, while for disinfecting urban traffic buses, he said this process will take place during today's”, Mullafazliu said via telephone.

Despite the closure of these centres, the offices of the Communist Organisation of Pensioners and Invalids in Pristina today were open.

Pensioner Sylejman Hajdini said he welcomes measures to prevent the COVID19 virus, but says there is still no danger so they have not made a decision to close the offices of this pensioners organisation.

We still have nothing, we have our leadership when he tells us we stick to it... It's not bad to take those measures, but for now there's no risk to”, he says.

In addition to the four precautionary measures about the COVID19 virus that were undertaken yesterday, the mayor of the Pristina municipality has imposed five new measures today, whose implementation is due to begin tomorrow.

1. During the weekend, the spaces of Pristina's municipality buildings will most specifically be disinfected, where there are sports and many jobs.

2. Since tomorrow, all Pristina municipality sports workers will be equipped with protective, bail and disinfectant masks.

3. As of tomorrow, schools and public nests will be supplied with additional toilet material as needed until a upcoming decision for nests and schools.

4. The Pristina municipality suspends permits for public gatherings and events (promovations, gatherings in the field), where more than 50 people are expected. These include activities requiring permission from the Community to carry out their activities.

5. Also reportedly party meetings are suspended at various directors that are not urgently.

Meanwhile, yesterday Kosovo's government has approved the action plan to deal with the Coronavirus, until it has allocated 10m euros to the health ministry to implement this plan.

This deadly virus has also affected Albania when one person has so far died and 11 others are confirmed.

Coronavirus has spread to over 100 countries in the world as governments have stopped flying with affected countries, and some have closed borders indefinitely.
