France announced on Saturday that it is banning organisations that have more than 5,000 people in closed spaces, and is recommending people to stop kissing greetings, writes Indexline.
The announcement comes as the government is struggling to slow down the spread of the coronary, as the country reported 16 new cases.
Health Minister Olivier Véran had earlier recommended that people avoid holding hands to slow the spread of the virus.
But now he said he's also looking to dismiss “la bise”, the custom in France and some other European countries, to give greetings with kisses.
