Jan Vertonghen's family, the star of Tottenham at Premierliga, has been looted at his home under knife threat by four armed men. The case had occurred Tuesday night when the Belgian defender was in office with his club at the Champions League. The 32-year-old defender from Belgium at the time was in Germany playing for Tottenham in the turn-on match against RB Leipzig in 1/8 of the Champions League final. “We're supporting Jani and his family during this period of horrible trauma”, said a spokesperson for Tottenham. “We call on those who have any information to help the police during the investigation process”, he added. Meanwhile, Metropolitan Police have said: “Police were called to a residential address AT 7:49 p.m. on March 10, to report a theft. Officers went to the scene. Four hooded men, armed with knives, had been reportedly forced into property and had stolen a number of things and fled”. The police reported no injuries. Vertonghen is the latest victim of burglary.
