Kosovo's Ambassador to Washington, Vlora Citaku, has accepted Chief diplomat Glauk Konjufca's proposal to leave the post.
An ambassador's dismissal decree must be signed by the president, however, in her Facebook response, Citaku wrote that she would respect Konjufca's request and that she would not attempt to stay in a position where she is unwanted by the government.
But in the explanation that the ambassador gave in English in Titter, she added another sentence.
Citaku shows that President Hashim Thaci has asked her to continue her task at the head of the Kosovo diplomatic mission in the US.
“Although the President has exclusive authority for this decision and he has asked me to continue serving with my current capacities, I will respect the Government's bid”, Citaku wrote.
