The four Bundesligla clubs leading the championship in this season have raised 20m euros to support other clubs during the global health crisis.
Baiern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen will share their share of media benefits and will donate that amount to teams from the rest of the table.
The German Football League (DFL) will decide how the money will be distributed.
