Berisha has said that mandatory military service is an over-reached idea. According to him, this would be possible if there was an education of citizens in the areas of defence.
“I think this idea is exceeded not only for us as Kosovo, but also for the countries of the region, and that would make sense if it claimed to educate citizens in the areas of defence, security, but not of a mandatory classical military system, as thought or without any detailed elaboration”, Berisha has said.
According to him, Kosovo needs the establishment of professional military capacities and a professional army.
He has also commented on the professional development of the Kosovo Army.
Berisha said in a proposal for the Online Economy that officers coming out of the defence academy would meet the expectations of strategic partners, and that according to him Kosovo would soon be part of important security organisations.
“I believe that with officers coming out of the defence academy and soldiers having a very professional training programme and military leadership we will meet the expectations of strategic partners and Kosovo will soon be part of European and international integration”
Furthermore, he stressed that the military force is a US-backed project and is an irreversible process.
“Government Kurti has its own programme, with which I believe it will decontamination with factors and processes that deteminate the process generally in Kosovo, but as far as military strength and capacities are concerned, this is a project supported by the US directly by a co-operation through an agreement on the status of force and is an irreversible”.
He also has a message for his associates to have in the future an air control system bearing Sali Ceku's name, and a defence system against the missile to carry the name of Adem Jashar.
My dream and my dying wish that I will constantly carry to my colleagues and my associates in force is to have in the future an air control system, radar that will carry Sali Ceku's name and a missile defence system that will carry the name of Adam Jashar”
Since we are in the days of the Kosovo Liberation Army's Age, he has praised the Yasar family's contribution and all the downs for freedom.
Every period of history has its heroes as well as the stage of the 1990s sacrifice also has families who sacrificed that are the emblem of our sacrifice, such as the Jashar family and many other countries. Each etap has its own emblems. So is the family of commander Adem Jashari, and many other leaders like Sali Ceku, Zahir Pajaziti, Agim Ramadani, Sadri Zeneli, Haradinaj Brothers and others”, Berisha said.
He said that on this anniversary we should have achievements with which the families of the martyrs and all those who sacrificed would feel satisfied.
” We hope, but also my expectations are that, being part of the responsibility and process of creating the Kosovo Armed Forces Project and very soon with the political and monetary support of institutions, Kosovo is soon to consolidate its armed forces and be a reliable and sustainable mechanism for security and security in our country of”, he said.
