On March 29th 1999, numerous Serbian police, military forces had committed a massacre in the village of Beleg of Decani, with cases of murder and slaughter of 49 Albanians.
Because of the COVID019 virus that has swept our country, there is no activity to commemorate this massacre.
This is one of the largest massacres to have been carried out on these sides of Dukagjin by the Serb military and police forces, who in 1999, launched a vicious offensive to the Irzniqi and Beleg people, after a day earlier they suffered losses from the Kosovo Liberation Army.
From that day, the fate of 33 of this village's dead people, as well as other villages of the Decani municipality, remains unsolving.
Although, investigative teams -- first from UNMIK, then EULEX -- had been taken into account, collecting numerous testimony, both de clarats of live witnesses introduced at the International Tribunal in The Hague, but also the postmortem autopsy of crime corpses, there are still no detainees.
