Minister of Internal Affairs and Public Administration Agim Veliu has hosted the announced meeting United Kingdom Ambassador to Kosovo Nicholas Abbott.
Minister Veliu announced at this meeting the British ambassador for the overall security situation in Kosovo, the functioning and organisation of the ministry, and at the same time thanked him for the great support the United Kingdom has given him. MPBAP's, in particular, the National Border Management Centre.
Veliu stressed that its priorities are the establishment of MPBAP capacities, prevention and fighting organised crime and corruption in general, and in particular international co-operation.
The minister has thanked the United Kingdom for their support through working groups and experts in drafting legal acts and other acts aimed at building the capacities of our departments within the ministry.
Veliu pledged that they would deepen co-operation through exchange of experiences, organisation of training, study visits and various agreements aimed at the best funskionisation of MPBAP.
On the other hand, Abbott said the United Kingdom would be partners of the Republic of Kosovo in empowering the rule of law and Kosovo institutions.
