Turkey has sent a large military stake along the southern border at Idlib during the night in trying to stop the bloodshed caused by brutal attacks by the Assad regime covered by Russian air strikes.
About 400 thousand people, 80 percent of them women and children, have fled their homes since December 1st, according to the UN, and another 400 thousand have gone within the Turkish border since April.
Turkish forces were bombed at their positions near the city of Sackeby this morning, causing six dead and hurting seven other soldiers, the defence minister from Turkey has said, but proudly declared that 30 to 35 troops fighting for Assad were killed in retaliation.
The Turkish Army holds 12 monitoring points in Idlib to monitor the situation after the ceasefire agreement it has since collapsed.
The Turkish minister said they had been attacked without any preliminary notice, caught unawares.
The statement was also denied by Moscow officials.
