Rama says the money will be used to give a boost to the country's economy. On the “Real Story” show, Prime Minister Rama linked the collection of large money to refusing to start negotiations last year.
According to him, the fact that so much money was raised shows that negotiations were not rejected because of Albania.
Here Rama faced the controversy of analstis Agron Gjekmarkaj, who intervened, saying the negotiations were rejected because of the government, rather than Albania, as donations gathered for Albania and not for the government.
“Albania is a non-rich country, it is a much less poor country than what it does for Albania. But it's far less likely from those who were there. The news wasn't good, it was great news. What I think is important, there's a reason why someone finds ways to get people to think or suspect. Albania has once rejected every debt, and it turns out that country no longer exists. Donors' conference credits are not credit you can take on a sunny day. Third, I said earlier that we are very encouraged because it gives us a solid basis in the economic plan. And we're in terms when I think we can push the economy a lot. The last one, if Albania were refused to start negotiations as a result of its guilt, you would be sure they would not get what they got yesterday. If it were, we wouldn't have received this support. It is not true that Albania has been rejected for its reasons”, Rama said.
