Below is the EC's response:
The Executive Committee of the Kosovo Football Federation has been shocked today with news learned by KF leader “Fmurtar”, that the parents of this club's new football player, Ilija Iviq, have been dismissed (mother as civil servant in the Gracanica municipality, and the father as an educational worker) because their son has agreed to play for the U19 National Kosovo.
EC The FFK strongly condemns this act of weakness undertaken by leaders of institutions operating within the system of the Republic of Kosovo, but also those of the Serb parallel system, aimed at introducing fear into our Serbian fellow citizens, who see Kosovo as their country and who want to contribute to its development and growth in football.
It is sad how the pressure of Serbia's institutions is so extended to the Serb community living in Kosovo that they do not allow a talented footballer to develop his career the way he wants. This testifies to how rude Serbian politics is to their countrymen living in the Republic of Kosovo and who want their future to build in peace and in harmony with fellow citizens in Kosovo.
The Kosovo Football Federation has repeatedly been open and has tried to give space to all football talents, regardless of which community they belong to. Even in the case of Ivric's talent, we have strongly supported the election decision of the U19 National, Ramiz Krasniqi, to have this football player available and encouraged him to give space to all players who deserve to wear our National Fantel.
FFK never sees footballers on national, racial, ethnic or religious grounds, but will always be committed to inviting the most merited footballers to its nationals.
In this case we ask local and international institutions, but also from W FIFA's EFA to react strongly to prevent such discriminatory phenomena that come consistently from the Serbian state. This is clean policy intervention in sports and must be punished by all.
The Kosovo Football Federation will do its best to make even in the future all young people, without taking into account the ethnic affiliation enable you space for development and talent showing at all the trains they live in, but also in national teams. /Periscope. com/
