Kosovo's first representation with state flag in international competitions

Kosovo was represented for the first time with its state flag in an official international contest at the World Pingpong Team Championship, held in China from February 24th to March 2nd, 2008.

In the World of China, Kosovo was represented by Besart Domanic, Betim Sejdiu and Beqiri in the men's race and Besir Domanic, Arjeta Terstena and Bira Abazi in the women's race.

Prior to the departure this team was hosted by then Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, from whom he received the Kosovo state flag, which is listed among the flags of 150 member states at the World Pingpong Championship in China.
