The Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has organised a 100 per cent tax table on products from Serbia and Bosnia.
At this table it was said that taxing Serbian and Bosnian products was necessary, given Serbia's destructive actions that violated Kosovo's citizenship.
AAK MP Gazmend Abrashi has said Serbia continues to seek the market, but not to accept Kosovo citizenship.
The “has been a long time since Kosovo has started negotiations with Serbia on the so-called technical agreement with the European Commission's mediation, led by the ongoing Baronesa Ashton with Moghrin. During this time, there has been disappointment and reactions from political parties during the” dialogue.
Kosovo's “government in October 2018 makes the decision to impose the tax initially on 10 percent and then 100 percent on Serbian and Bosnian products, and from that time to 500m euros as Serbia's export to Kosovo falls to almost zero”.
“Set the 100 per cent tax was the only instrument that Kosovo would react to all of Serbia's destructive actions that are violating Kosovo's citizenship. Serbia continues to seek and accept the market, but not even the citizenship of Kosovo and the welfare of its citizens”, Abrashi has said.
Agim Sahin, head of the GDP, said the tax in addition to the economic aspect has also affected the awareness of citizens to consume local products.
Kosovo Business Alliance has praised the tax as economic and diplomatic assets. The tax effect has increased Kosovo's 100 million economy, but has also increased the awareness of citizens to consume local products. The GDP will always be with the businesses we speak on their behalf”, he said.
